Luckenbach, Johnson City, Fredericksburg

Extended weekend trip in the area, to see a show in Luckenbach on Saturday. We spent Friday in Johnson City, Saturday in Fredricksburg and Luckenbach and had to head back (very) early Sunday for a church service in Mt. Belvue.
Johnson City was a cool day, we vistied the Texas Vintage Motorcycle Museum and spent some time chatting with the owner/collector of all these great machines before wandering around and taking a closer look.

Next we strolled around LBJ’s boyhood home for a bit, then headed out to Pedernales Falls State Park before going back into town for dinner at Pecan Street Brewing. Food was great, beers were excellent and chocolate cake was next level.

On Saturday, we spent a little time in Fredericksburg before going back to JC and then going to theĀ concert. We stayed off the beaten path and visited a few antique and junk shops, where we relaxed and had some coffee. We resisted getting what looked like amazing cinnamon rolls and other pastries. Some neat finds, one of which was this hilarious book… Good times!
