We began with a leisurely 4 day-3 night trip to West Yellowstone MT, stopping the first night in Amarillo, TX. Before continuing on, the next morning we checked out the Cadillac Ranch and Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
Then it’s on the road again – stopping for the night in Colorado City, CO, and Buffalo, WY before
arriving at the cool Evergreen Motel in West Yellowstone, MT.
We got an early start Sunday morning (to beat the crowds) and packed breakfast/lunch to save time, and headed to Yellowstone via the West Entrance. Such an amazing place. We saw a lot, including bison, elk, Grand Prismatic Spring, walk the Midway Geyser Basin, the Visitor Education Center, the historic Old Faithful Inn, and get our spot to watch Old Faithful blow, all before lunch, a great morning! Beautiful weather too.
