I ride.
My primary bike is a 2004 Honda ST1300ABS.
This bike fits perfect and is a great commuter as well as long-distance tourer that can gobble up the miles with ease. After two black bikes, this one is blue and I’ve come to really like the color and it matches Elayne’s new ‘08 Mustang
My other bike is a 2001 Honda Shadow ACE. Everything you need to know about this beautiful, affordable, middleweight cruiser can be found at the Strictly ACE forum and website. I have put over 100,000 miles on this bike, and just as many smiles! As much as I love the ACE, less than a year after getting it I knew I was more of a “Sport-Tourer” kind of guy. I fell in love with the new (in 2003) Honda ST1300. I had hoped to purchase an 06 model, the first year it would come out in black.

Due to impatience and a good deal at my local shop, I picked up a 1994 ST1100, black of course. This was the predecessor to the ST1300. Unfortunately, some idiot totaled the 1100 (me)… Luckily I was wearing all the right gear, like I usually do, so I escaped without a single scratch.

I ride daily, but really love to take bike trips whether it’s a day trip, weekend overnighter, or longer trips to discover new roads, new places, and great people.
When you don’t want to ride alone, there’s no better group than the Southern Cruisers. I belong to the Conroe, Texas chapter. I’m recently retired as leader of this fine group of folks. In addition to riding (and eating) we try to some good for the community by supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visit the hospital in Memphis sometime and you’ll understand why.
